SLCC Hosts Utah Crowdfunding Summit 2017 with Rodney Sampson as Keynote Speaker

Atlanta, GA — The Salt Lake Region Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the SLCC Miller Business Resource Center (MBRC) announce the 3rd Annual Utah Crowdfunding Summit (UCS 2017) presented by Daplie and supported by Lecticon, May 4, 2017 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at SLCC’s Miller Campus.

Panel discussions and speakers include Zach Smith and Thomas Alvord, founders of the country’s top crowdfunding marketing firm, who have helped over 200 clients raise more than $117 million on Kickstarter and Indiegogo in just the last three years. Also featured is Bryson Hill, CEO of the world’s first company to simultaneously and successfully run Rewards-based and Regulation crowdfunding campaigns, netting over $1.3 million between the two. Visiting Salt Lake from Atlanta, and featured as the lunch keynote, Rodney Sampson of Atlanta’s Tech Square Labs and Opportunity Hub, will share his insights on leveraging crowdfunding for underserved and underrepresented communities.

“We get to bring some of the world’s foremost minds – in all aspects of crowdfunding – together for one day,” said Bryce Hansen, Assistant Director at the Salt Lake Region SBDC and Chair for the Utah Crowdfunding Summit. “This is a great opportunity for people in Utah to learn the secrets of crowdfunding and to make connections with like-minded entrepreneurs and experts.”
