The Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) recently announced that it will award Monarch a $1.6 million grant to provide Stanly County vital, expanded services for people with serious mental illness and substance use disorders through the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model.

The Board of Directors of the Urban League of Central Carolinas (ULCC) has named William "Teddy" McDaniel III as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the ULCC, effective Aug. 1.
