The Charlotte community is invited to join Consolidated Media Alliance, an innovative partnership between The Charlotte Post Newspaper, QCityMetro and NewsReleaseNow, for a discussion to explore the impact and path forward one year after the Keith Lamont Scott shooting and protests.
This public conversation will take place September 13, 2017 from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Mint Museum, 500 S. Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte. This will be the first event hosted by Consolidated Media Alliance, a partnership focused on building social capital within the Charlotte region and working collectively to create change and identify solutions to address social and cultural issues.
“The impact the shooting and protests had on our community are undeniable,” said Consolidated Media Alliance members Glenn Burkins, Gerald Johnson and Nepherterra Estrada Best. “With the one-year anniversary on the horizon, we felt this was an opportunity to come together and have a candid conversation about what we’ve learned and how we continue to move forward to create a better Charlotte.”
